Merle Rutledge for Virginia Governor responds to the George Floyd trial verdict!

Virginia Governor Northam and the rest of the ambulance chasing Democrats are full of it and the rest of the opportunist. I can’t respect a verdict in which Democratic leaders intimidated the jury into a forced verdict. I stand for justice and not the actions of Maxine Waters.  Her statements and conduct was just as tantamount to police beating someone into a false confession.

Wrong is wrong and as much as anyone may think the verdict was right. I lost faith in the outcome under the totality of the circumstances. No matter who you are, a fair trial must happen for every American citizen. This means from beginning to end of the trial. If the verdict is overturned than President Biden, Governor Northam, Democrats, and all those celebrating an injustice is representative of a far worse verdict.
Please tell me how fair it is to put families and America through this trial all over again! I hope the Judge has the courage through post trial motions and set aside the verdict, because the ends of justice criteria has been met.  America must make sure our justice system and public officials know, the checks and balances weigh in favor of justice with a verdict that America can believe in.  I call on the U.S Attorney General and the Minnesota Attorney General to open up a criminal investigation into jury tampering and other charges by Maxine Waters.

Maxine Waters crossed state lines to incite a riot and to threaten a jury while a case was pending.  There is more than enough probable cause to believe she commited a crime, just like Chauwin was convicted of murder.   It appears that most of the people thanking themselves for this wrongful conviction was trying to get clout chasing done and definitely knew the reality that this verdict could be overturned.
In conclusion, the judge should have done the right thing and not bowed down to the public outcry.  The judge should have declared a mistrial and on his own motion hold Waters in contempt and charged her in accordance of the law.

There is nothing different about Maxine Waters actions, than any other racist that has initimidated and threaten citizens into convictions or plea deals.   This is exactly the same thing.  I know my response may not be popular to those that don’t care about how the verdict was influenced.
However, I’m a Conservative man of principle and in the great words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, “An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere!”  Justice can only be met with the full weight of law and order being applied through due process.  The process shouldn’t be influenced by bad state or federal actors.  Maxine Waters was acting in her capacity as a government agent at the federal level and injecting her weight at the state level.  No lawmaker or private citizen should be above the law.

If Keith Ellison cares about justice for all.  Start with resolving the injustices that occurred by all to include public officials.   There are too many wrongfully incarcerated based off Maxine Waters style of policing and conduct. People have signed away their life for far less and still sit in a prison hoping for someone to believe they didn’t sign a confession or plea deal voluntarily. We can’t condone Maxine Waters action, because it insults every American that was wrongfully imprisoned by the same conduct that she advocated on the streets of Maryland.
Derek Chauvin must be granted a new trial and we must all accept the new verdict. However, this is the wrong way to go about it! We all know that as Americans. Two wrongs will never make a right for healing for anyone in this matter. Justice must always be colorblind!
