A message not just to the Black Community but the Human Race!

Too many are so willing to take out a gun and shoot something or somebody, but won’t even pull out a book to learn something about some – body! I am tired of people walking around ignorant and listening to anything that someone tells them compared to doing their own research and finding out for themselves. It is not a day that goes bye where I read or meet someone in local government or a private citizen that is clueless because of their own laziness about the issues that are oppressing them to this day. If I believe everything that someone told me in this area than I am just another fool that they do not have to be concern about or even respect. When people read the words or the actions that I take, all races take notice in the academic, legislative, or civil community, because I know what I am talking about and have facts that can not be disputed from sources that are knowlegable about the issue. However, I can know and still look dumb or I can know and look like a intelligent human being. We all believe that race plays a vital role in have and have not community. It is only an excuse if you are only taking that approach for why you have problems and lack redress of your call for action. I am very proud of the individuals that are still going to school and learning about what it really takes to be successful and be a impact on their prospective fields. A college is nothing more than public library that we all can learn from and achieve any goal that we so desire. In the HBO Series The Wire character Brother Mouzone states, “The most dangerous man is the one with a library card!, laughs Mouzone. He laughs at the fool but recognizes and respect the rules! Try your best to know the answer before you open your mouth and ask a question and accept the first answer. Inn any negotiations, the dummy is always the ones that take the first offer. I think Andrekka J. Lanier would find the irony in that statement!

How to destroy Florida “Stand your Ground” Law! March 27, 2012 by merletrutledge

4 ways to get Florida to consider making permanent changes to the Florida Stand your Ground Law!

1. Have every convicted rapist or murderer that felt like their life was in danger while trying to commit the act in which they are convicted of use the defense of Stand your Ground Law. If race has no importance in this issue than let some of the other races including African Americans that commit crimes to their own race released that have been convicted of murder or rape than you will see the whole nation including leaders than want to repeal the law. We have to get everyone involved in order for them to see the harm of their decisions. All they have to do is say they felt like their life was in danger and death was the result. You tell any victims family, no matter their race, that the person convicted can walk because of the “Stand your Ground” defense than it is no longer a matter about race, but it becomes a neutral matter of justice.

2. Appeal your conviction based off the fact of ineffective counsel. You should have been able to use the “Stand your Ground Law” as a defense for your conviction.  Stand your ground obviously doesnt stop you from approaching your victim and taking their life, even though it was not your ground that you was on, but on theirs.  You can also be judge, police, jury, and prosecutor all at once and declare yourself “Not Guilty of all charges!”

3. If Governor Rick Scott of Florida has appointed numerous prosecutors and task forces to investigate the Trayvon Martin case and no one has been arrested to this day for the murder of Trayvon Martin, than it is becoming clear that they are working on a defense of the law and not the prosecution of George Zimmerman.

4. Vote and make permanent change to leadership! 5. Have the law struck down as unconstitutional. We all have a right to walk away or be left alone from police if their is no reasonable suspicion or criminal activity that has occured. You have a right to be left alone and move on about your way. This law restricts that and allows for people to detain you unlawfully without cause. In my opinion, the law by Zimmerman example, violates the 4th and 14th amendment.  Illegal search and seizure, and violation of due process, because you are punish without a trial because of this law.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi received your correspondence about the
case involving the death of Trayvon Martin. Attorney General Bondi asked
that I respond.

Attorney General Bondi is deeply concerned about this case, and she has
spoken to Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner (FDLE) Gerald
Bailey, whose agency is now involved. The FDLE has skilled investigators of
the highest caliber, and no stone will be left unturned in this
investigation.

Additionally, on March 22, 2012, Attorney General Bondi worked with Florida
Governor Rick Scott on the Governor’s appointment of Fourth Judicial
Circuit State Attorney Angela Corey as special prosecutor in the case.
Governor Scott also announced the formation of a Task Force on Citizen
Safety and Protection to convene immediately after the investigation into
the death of Trayvon Martin.

For more information about the appointment of the special prosecutor and on
the Task Force, please visit the the Attorney General’s and Governor’s

Governor Rick Scott

To: Governor Rick Scott <Rick.Scott@eog.myflorida.com>

Thank you for contacting Governor Rick Scott’s office and sharing your concerns about the death of Trayvon Martin.  The Governor asked that I respond on his behalf.

Governor Scott supports a full and fair investigation into all of the circumstances surrounding Trayvon’s death.  For this reason, Governor Scott has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to provide any assistance necessary to fully investigate the matter.

Additionally, Norman R. Wolfinger, State Attorney for Brevard and Seminole Counties, in the interest of the public safety of the citizens of Seminole County, and to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, requested the Governor make an executive assignment of another state attorney for the investigation, and any prosecution arising from the circumstances surrounding the death of Trayvon Martin.  As a result of this request, the Honorable Angela Corey, State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida, agreed to accept an executive assignment in this matter.

Further, Governor Scott, after listening to many concerned citizens in recent days, has asked Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll to lead a Task force on Citizen Safety and Protection.  The Task Force’s purpose is to investigate how to make sure a tragedy such as this does not occur in the future, while at the same time protecting the fundamental rights of all of our citizens – especially the right to feel protected and safe in our state.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact the Governor’s Office about this important issue.  Governor Scott hopes that this matter is resolved in a just manner and appreciates your concern over this incident.

Sincerely,

Warren Davis
